DV-Capturing: Use a DV-camera, connected by Firewire, to transfer the video into an AVI file on your harddrive. The actual video signal is shown for verifying the image.

The automatic scene detection supports an optical detection as well as a detection on the basis of the DV-datestamp.

Scene list: Here the detected scenes will be listed. They can be sorted, viewed and edited in many ways.

There are different views on the scene list. Dependent on the working process the one or the other view might be better. Here you see the storyboard view. It is further customizable.

For trimming the scenes, a specialized dialog is available.

The scenes of the fully finished scene list can be exported into scene AVIs. Each scene into one AVI or all scenes into one AVI. The scene filenames can be generated using standard placeholders. A sample filename will be shown for orientation.

Further functions, sometimes usefull when working with AVIs, are concentrated here.

AVCutty can generate HTML-Files, representing the scenes (thumbnails and data) in the scene list. The layout can be modified using templates. Some templates are included. Please refer the documentation for further information about editing templates.

You can find an automatically translated online documentation of AVCutty, following an link on the AVCutty download page.
